2019 AFLW Premiers

Australia Post is celebrating the triumphant victory by the Adelaide Crows over Carlton in the 2019 NAB AFL Women’s Competition on Sunday 31 March 2019.

Played in front of a record crowd for a women’s game of Australian football of 53,034, the Crows lived up to their favourites’ tag, demolishing the Blues, 10.3 (63) to 2.6 (18).

The attendance was the fifth-highest for a football match at Adelaide Oval.

A serious knee injury to Adelaide superstar Erin Phillips casted a shadow over the Crows’ emphatic 45-point victory. Despite the injury she won her second AFLW Grand Final best-on-ground medal. On the following Tuesday night, polling 19 of a possible 21 votes she won her second NAB AFL Women’s best and fairest award and was named All Australian Captain. The next weekend she won the Crows Best and Fairest.

The 2019 AFL Women’s Grand Final souvenir stamp sheetlet features a celebratory post-match image of the Adelaide Crows. The sheet includes 8 x $1 stamps depicting the Australian Map design from the Love to Celebrate stamp issue. There is no attached selvedge design.

The Souvenir sheet costs $15.95.
