2004 Premiers: The Power

Port Adelaide won their first AFL premiership on the 25th September by defeating the Brisbane Lions by 40 points.

For the First time Australia Post issued a Souvenir Event Sheet on Monday the 27th September to commemorate the win. (Shown as banner) The sheet had ten Globe and map stamps with the Premiership Cup in the label.

Commemorative Covers were released by First Class Collectables, Coversplease and StampsOz. StampsOz released covers showing the Captain, Warren Tredrea and the Norm Smith Medalist, Byron Pickett. FCC also released a Pickett cover.

The Power earned the right to partake in the Grand Final with a 6 point win over St Kilda at AAMI Stadium.
